ABOUT
POONAM SAREEN |
|
Since school, Poonam has been actively involved in debating,
public speaking and dramatics. She passed out with an
English Honours degree from Loretto College, Calcutta
in 1976, and spent the next few years compering and
hosting various radio, television and fashion shows.
She has trained to teach drama in India and abroad and
worked as a visiting professional with various schools
and colleges. |

After
a fulfilling experience with children, Poonam then moved
onto the Corporate world, to help adults find their
inner child. She has over 25 years of experience in
theatre training and as a director of many musical plays.
Trained both in India and in the US with Dana Patton,
a leading facilitator of Corporate houses, New York
and Good Apple, a teacher training centre, Poonam uses
drama today as a unique training tool to develop confident
and dynamic personae. |

Poonam founded her own institution called SPEED
(Speech Personality Evolution through Educational
Drama Kinetics) in 1981, which believes
that it's all about believing in yourself and your
own uniqueness.

Today
at SPEED, we have established a niche in Acting, Voice
and Personality Development, training leading film,
television and stage actors, TV anchors, newsreaders
on CNBC and IBN, students of The EMDI Institute of Radio
Management, and the Corporate world. |

SPEED offers tailor-made modules
in Creativity, Communication Skills, Team Building,
Leadership and Stress Management
and has trained companies like HLL, Cadbury, Citibank
and HDFC to name a few. |

training and personal counseling, designed especially

An important medium that Poonam uses for self development

worldwide as a talk show on Aastha International channel.

like the Spastics Society, Mother Teresa's Missionaries
of Charity, The Cancer Society, Asha Daan, and AIDS
awareness programmes, to name a few. The last few years
have seen an enriching association with Punarnava Ayurveda
that promotes health and well being. |

since conception and over the years has presented plays
